After a busy day at work, well, if you’d even want to call it that, Helo slumped down in a chair in the rec room.
He spent the day doing a check of his ship with the deck crew.
FTL spools, check.
Navigation system, check.
Everything, check.
Tedious work, yes. It definitely was. But if it kept Sharon and his’s raptor flying, it did.
Sliding back in his chair, his toes rising above his heels, Helo pondered what sort of fun the Galactica crew would get up to tonight.
21:30. Day One Aboard Galactica
Sharon has switched into her fatigues after her long day of flight drills. Technically she’s met her ECO, Karl “Helo” Agathon, during their briefing in the morning, but they haven’t flown together yet. In the moments before their assignments, she had a good impression of him: easy-going, kind, possibly a bit too suave for his own good.
She enters the head to brush her teeth and happens to pick the sink next to him. She watches him shave for a moment, looks at her toothbrush, and decides this is the chance to properly introduce herself.
Hey. You’re Helo, right? I think you’re my ECO.
Kara steps out of the shower with just enough time to hear the newbie (Sharon? Girl needs a call sign) make awkward small talk with Helo.
With a towel just barely covering her, Kara grins at the two, slapping Helo on the back.
“Damn straight he is. Best ECO on board!.”
